Ensuring the voice of our employees is heard

We value our people and listening to their feedback and what matters to them is a key part of ensuring we are delivering the very best employee experience.

Hearing the employee voice enables us to drive continuous improvements and help our people thrive in the workplace.

Our initiatives

Peakon Pulse Surveys

Our regular Peakon surveys are shared every few months to measure the level of connection that our people have with UPP; helping us to gauge how engaged our people feel and the factors that influence this.

Our surveys are digital, completely confidential and easy to complete, along with an option to share comments or feedback.

Innovation Hub

We know the best ideas come from our people so our Innovation and Enterprise Hub was set up to effectively capture, review, evaluate and recommend ideas from anyone in the business to ensure we are constantly driving innovation across UPP.

All ideas are reviewed throughout the year by the Innovation Hub team, with feedback provided and depending on the opportunities, a number of approaches suggested.

Communications

We are always looking at ways to bring our people together at every opportunity to share our strategic purpose and to take an active listening approach to amplify our employee voice.

We achieve this through various channels of listening and providing opportunities for social connections, including:

  • The annual UPP conference
  • Town Halls, on-site, led by our senior leadership team
  • Monthly live video call led by our CEO
