Our student reps will work for UPP on our ResLife social programme, with the opportunity to design, plan and lead your own events and initiatives in halls. This role is UPP’s ambassador in halls, working and supporting both staff and fellow student. This role is paid, includes some evening and weekend working and may include hours outside of term time. Please note Student Representative roles are not available at all locations.

Summer work
Whilst most halls remain open over summer, we also spend this time undertaking basic maintenance and deep cleaning so that the Halls are ready for the new academic year, and we are often on the look out for extra staff to help. The package includes free accommodation over the summer and no experience is required – just a willingness to work hard! It’s a great way to make some extra cash!
Focus groups
UPP undertakes focus groups with students throughout the year to understand more about the experience, what’s working well and what else you would like to see in your halls. These are usually discussions with one or two members of UPP staff and are very informal. All feedback is anonymised – the most important thing is to be honest! The sorts of topics we look for feedback on include, the App, Open Days and your overall experience.
