UPP, the UK’s largest provider of on-campus residential and academic infrastructure, has been shortlisted for three prestigious Student Accommodation Awards, presented by Property Week.
UPP is a finalist in the following categories:
- Operator of the Year (Over 5,000 Beds)
- Collaboration Award – UPP and Loughborough University
- Unsung Hero Award – James Burrows (Residence Director, Exeter)
UPP’s award submission in the Operator of the Year category highlighted consistently high student satisfaction ratings, corporate excellence and bold innovative spirit, as well as work to build student belonging on campus and develop truly sustainable campuses.
The nomination for the Collaboration Award highlights a consistently high-performing partnership, delivering accommodation at Loughborough University’s popular student village. The UPP and university teams work together to enhance the student experience by creating a supportive living environment that empowers students to thrive, both academically and personally. The partnership produces consistently high student satisfaction scores, underpinned by a commitment to student wellbeing and inclusion.
James Burrows, the UPP Residence Director in Exeter, has been shortlisted for the Unsung Hero Award. Coming soon after we announced financial close on the new Exeter West Park scheme, this nomination recognises James for leading his team through all the preparations for our newest development, as well as demonstrating the strength of our ongoing relationship with Exeter.
UPP CEO Elaine Hewitt said:
Being a finalist in the Operator of the Year category is a fantastic achievement. UPP teams on campus up and down the country always go above and beyond to provide a great experience for students. I’m delighted that our amazing and inspiring site teams have been recognised in this way for the exceptional work they do for our residents and university partners seven days a week, 365 days a year.
