UPP Carnegie Village
September 2009 saw UPP open the doors to 479 students at another new Eco-Residence -this time, in partnership with Leeds Beckett University. Part of the development was designed to Passivhaus criteria, a ground breaking first in the student accommodation market.
Solar photo-voltaic panels, digitally controlled lighting and a host of energy saving designs won Carnegie Village the coveted multi-residency award in the 2010 BREEAM Awards.
UPP also transferred and continue to operate a further 1,559 rooms of existing accommodation, allowing the University to focus on the provision of core services, as well as helping to further improve the student experience.
