As UPP’s IT and Digital lead, my main responsibility will be to work with partners to review and discuss the requirements of their business, customers, and the UPP team to ensure that all IT-related services (infrastructure, network, security, systems, and data) are established and managed in line with your SLS (Service Level Specification). I also act as the UPP BIM lead, ensuring all asset-related data is correctly defined and captured over the capital works RIBA stages and that we have an effective digital handover at the end of a scheme or mobilisation, with data and information delivered into our Planon CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system to drive effective ongoing asset lifecycle management. Beyond the capital works period, my role will be to continually review our operational services and seek more innovative and cost-effective ways to deliver these services to you and your students. I am the development lead for the UPP Home at Halls App, which provides innovative digital services to UPP operations, Partners, and Students.
With over 20 years’ experience within the IT and development industries, I have supported partners with the digital evolution linked to the needs of their customers. I am qualified in Prince 2, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), and ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library).

As UPP’s Director of Hard FM, my responsibilities are to ensure that my team supports the Operational teams; specifically, by ensuring Technical Statutory Compliance within the Hard FM space, Building Fire Safety standards are met, and providing Safety Health and Wellbeing advice, and support. Also, the Hard FM team provides FM systems support by managing our CAFM system to ensure optimal management of our assets.
I have over 20 years of experience within the technical services environment. 10 years of which has been within the Higher Education sector leading estates teams within some prestigious institutions. My technical capabilities also include being an authorised and responsible person in several disciplines while also being a senior member of WMSoc and IWFM.

I have overall responsibility for the long-term quality and performance of assets under our care through the informed use of asset management strategies, data, and innovation. I provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the estate meets contractual and statutory requirements, is always attractive to students, and maintained to appropriately high standards through a robust life cycle investment programme based on whole life cost principles.
I am a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with demonstrable experience of over 17 years in facilities, property, and infrastructure asset management. I lead on asset management strategy, and development of the life cycle cost model aligned to design development and estates, property, and asset facilities management delivery.

I have 20 years of experience in environmental leadership and carbon management. Fifteen years of this has been within the higher education sector, working across a range of institutions across the environmental sustainability agenda. I have also been a Non-Executive Director of The Energy Institute since 2017, representing member interests in the field of energy risk management and procurement. As a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Energy Manager, my ability to deliver results in these fields has been externally recognised and I continue to contribute to the development of knowledge in the area.

My job is to develop and govern the ongoing procedures in relation to cleaning services at UPP nationally. Act as a Subject Matter Expert and work on standardisation and implementation of best practices across the board. Support the business in bringing new technology and innovation through to operations and support our sustainable direction of travel.
My job is to ensure that insight and data lead to continuous improvement of our service delivery and that we would be adding even greater value to our existing and new clients – proving that we are leaders in the industry.
I have worked for UPP since 2017, During this time, I developed skills and gained knowledge in the industry, which helps in drawing proposals and making recommendations to support our clients’ needs.

As Fire and Building Safety Manager for UPP, my primary responsibility is to ensure all buildings are designed and built to the correct standards and ensure that ongoing compliance with the relevant legislation is achieved moving forward.
In conjunction with this, I also ensure that all activity programmed meets UPP’s corporate strategy deliverables to ensure our customers are safe.
I provide technical support, guidance and assurance to multiple internal and external stakeholders and am the point of contact for UPP’s Primary Authority Partnership with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.

As UPP’s Head of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing (SHAW) I am responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety across our portfolios and contracts. I collaborate closely with the operational teams to drive standards, manage Health and Safety Compliance, and where failings occur, create action plans to drive continuous improvement. The data our systems produce will help and maintain the insight required to develop our offer in line with legislation and the safety of our staff, customers, and visitors to the accommodation and campuses. I will work with the University’s Safety team to report and liaise in partnership.
I have over 20 years of experience as a health and safety professional gained in the public, private, and third sectors. I am fully aligned and understand the requirements of service delivery from a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing risk management perspective. This experience is invaluable when mobilising new accommodation or services on the academic portfolio. I qualified with BSc (Hons) Safety, Health, and Environmental Management 1st Class in 2004 and I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety CMIOSH and a Member of the Institute of International Risk and Safety Management MIIRSM.
